FAQ's

Are iris lightboxes suitable for any room?

Iris Lightboxes are best suited for a clear feature wall and enough space to let the piece be viewed at a distance and add illumination to an otherwise dark area. Entrance halls, staircases, open-plan living rooms, large landings, offices, foyers and studios are ideal.

What sizes do the iris lightboxes come in?

Sizes range from 1m x 1m up to 4m x 6m, with square formats up to 4m x 4m. If you have an unusual wall size, we can tailor the layout to fit, just send us the dimensions and we will send you a quotation!

Can you design a multi-iris family piece of art?

Yes! We can design any arrangement of irises to produce the art that you want. For large families or corporate solutions, multi-iris grids work very well. Your iris art is personal to you, so we will work with you to create a piece that you and your family will treasure forever.

Can you add names, a date, or a location to our iris art?

Yes. We can add subtle typography (names, anniversary date, coordinates etc.) depending on the design style you want, just talk to us about your ideas!

Do I get to approve the artwork before it goes to production?

Absolutely. Following the capture of your irises, and we agree on a design, we will edit and create your artwork, and send a proof for sign-off before it goes into production.

Do you help with placement and sizing advice?

Yes! You can send a photo of your wall (and rough measurements), along with the enquiry form of email hello@theirisphotographer.co.uk, and we can advise on the best size and layout for the space, and which arrangments would work best.

Is installation included?

Installation requirements vary by size and location. We’ll confirm the best approach when quoting for your iris lightbox, and will advise on what the installation requirements are, along with a quotation.
